Useful information
Practical answers, all in one place.
Timetables, travel and collection, fees, our spaces in Steeton and Haworth, and how to keep up with Gateways.
Timetable
Sessions planned around the agreed programme
Our timetable includes daytime education and tuition, with evening and holiday opportunities shared according to availability. Commissioned placements have individually agreed days, times and review arrangements.
Contact us with the student's age, subject or support needs and preferred times. We will explain the options available and discuss what may be suitable before a booking is agreed.
School collection and travel
Planning arrival and departure together
Transport, arrival and collection arrangements should be discussed before a student starts. We agree who is responsible for each part of the journey and any support the young person needs to enter or leave safely.
If school collection is required, tell us at the enquiry stage so that feasibility and responsibilities can be considered. The agreed arrangements are recorded as part of the booking or placement plan.
Pricing
Clear fees for the support being agreed
Fees depend on the service, delivery arrangements and level of support required. We provide the relevant pricing information before a booking or placement is agreed.
For commissioned work, the quotation sets out the agreed teaching or support hours and any additional services, such as professional meetings or formal reports. Payment and cancellation terms are explained in the relevant agreement.
Contact us for a tailored alternative provision quotation, current tuition fees or Gateways Explorers prices. Students attending our 3 pm to 5 pm provision can access discounted tuition during that time, subject to availability. We explain the discount and charges before booking.
Explore our space
Get to know the setting before you arrive
Both our Steeton and Haworth provision includes learning space and access to a sensory room. Contact us to ask about the environment and discuss the adjustments your child may need.
An introductory visit can help families understand the setting and plan a more familiar first session. We will explain the facilities relevant to the programme you are considering.
Make a booking
Find a suitable place with Gateways
Before confirming a booking, we discuss the learner's needs, the service requested and the available options. We then explain the timetable, fees, required paperwork and arrangements for getting started.
For commissioned provision, the placement and relevant agreements must be confirmed with the commissioning organisation.
Testimonials
What families say
“I cannot recommend these guys enough. I never thought my daughter would enjoy doing maths outside of school time but she does. Suzanna is such a kind, supportive and nurturing tutor.”
